Brother Stokes had a Love for Jehovah and his Family, a Twinkle in his Eye, a Smile on his Face and a strong Faith in the Future.

Brother Stokes was the first person who greeted me my very first meeting at Fernwood, "Good afternoon I'm Brother Stokes, that's S-T-O-K-E-S" he had a bright & warm smile, he always had encouraging comforting words. My condolences to the entire family?

Thinking of all of you and praying that you find comfort and strength during this trying time. Brother Stokes was such an inspiring elder, spiritual brother, and friend. We will miss him greatly. We will truly miss his lively personality. Our deepest sympathy. Theo and Thelma Hudson

When I was around 13-15 years old, Brother Stokes was my Book Study conductor. Sometimes, it would only be me and him in service. This was around 1972 I guess. He would drop me off at my house and we would just sit in the car for 30-60 minutes and spend time talking. I really enjoyed our talks. He had a big influence on me that helped me to eventually go to Bethel and stay there for 24 years. I think about Brother Stokes all the time.
