Eboni Magee was born in Rock Island, IL on June 19, 1976 to James Harper & Lyn (Harper) Filmore. She was the oldest of four children. She later went on to work in medical billing. In 1997, she married her husband of 25 years, Teon Magee, & to their union was born their only child Ýna (Magee) Woods. Eboni served as a regular pioneer for several years alongside her family & was especially fond of participating in special metropolitan witnessing. She loved traveling to new places & trying new foods. She also had a passion for party planning. Whether she was planning a small card party or a large formal wedding, Eboni always went above & beyond to make sure all invited had a memorable experience. Eboni fell asleep in death on August 17, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her father James Harper Sr., her paternal grandparents John & Walterine Harper, & her maternal grandparents George & Della Harris. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband Teon Magee, daughter Ýna (Shane) Woods, mother Lynnette Filmore, sister Tiela (Justin) Vaughan, brothers Steven & James Harper Jr., along with a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, & friends.

May Jehovah help comfort your family during this time of great sorrow. Very encouraging discourse and wonderful to hear all the positive experiences on the zoom videos. Truly faithful sister.

Reflecting on Sis. Magee’s beautiful example and the few times we met her proves just how much Jehovah loves her and can’t wait to have Jesus wake her up in his new world, just as John 6:39 promises. We look forward to seeing her reunited with her family and having forever to get to know her.
